Every morning as I enter through the PSN gates, I feel a deep sense of pride and purpose. Seeing our uniformed students marching in organized drills, the aroma of dust from their parade, and the sight of some students engaging in rigorous exercises all evoke memories of discipline and commitment—like entering an army attachment camp where discipline is honed. As I board the ship “T.S. CLARISSA,” beautiful memories of sea life flood my mind, reminding me of the adventurous and rewarding journey that lies ahead for our students. With all these feelings, I reach my cabin and remember that I am a teacher. I thank God and remain forever grateful for this opportunity, as very few are blessed with the chance to share knowledge and experience with the future marine fraternity. The nobility of this profession truly sinks in, echoing the words of Dr. Kalam: “This is not a profession, it is a divine work to help people know what they are capable of.” People need coaches to deepen their skills, teachers to expand their knowledge, mentors to hone their professional abilities, and gurus to awaken their spiritual self. We are proud to say that PSN teachers embody all of these roles. Our experienced and knowledgeable educators serve as beacons, guiding students to go beyond their perceived limits. That is the uniqueness and pride of PSN teachers: to reveal a student’s potential and empower them to live up to it.
